Join us for an expedition style kayaking trip in Baja from Loreto to La Paz in the Sea of Cortez, with a potential visit to Isla San Jose midway throughout the trip dependant on weather and group dynamics.
This route covers approximately 160 km of remote wilderness along the east coast of the Peninsula in the Sea of Cortés, where road access is limited due to the rugged terrain of the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range. Though roads are slowly being built, they’re not quite there yet.
This nomadic expedition trip is for experienced paddlers who have done multi-day kayaking trips in the past.
It’s about embracing the wilderness
with a sense of freedom and nature appreciation,
rather than focusing on luxuries and gourmet meals.
This doesn’t mean we don’t have fun or enjoy good food – we do, but we’re flexible and focus on safe, quality experiences.
This trip is an outfitter-style adventure rather than an all-inclusive tour. We share meals, allowing each participant to bring their creativity and resources to prepare a few meals throughout the trip. We provide a ‘full camp kitchen’ equipped with all the necessary utensils and spices. This trip is designed for self-sufficient outdoor enthusiasts with some previous paddling experience.
You’ll need to bring your own camping equipment, such as tents and sleeping bags. (We do have some gear available for rent, if needed).
We supply all kayaking and safety equipment, including high-quality kayaks and gear.
- Werner Paddles
- Fiberglass Kayaks – singles and doubles from brands like Necky, Current Designs and Seaward Kayaks
- Spray skirts, PFDs, pumps and tow ropes
- A first aid kit and a satellite phone for emergencies.
If you have personal paddling gear you’d prefer to use, like a paddle or PFD, please feel free to bring it along. Singles will be provided upon request, but we plan to take at least one double kayak for packing purposes, possibly two, if the trip is full. We handle all transportation logistics and equipment to the launch site and at the end of the trip.

Duration: 10 nights & 11 days
Cost per person: $1700 USD
Our Expedition Style Kayaking Trip includes:
- Two knowledgeable & experienced Guides
- Single and double touring sea kayaks
- All safety equipment
- All group camping equipment
- Transportation from Loreto to Agua Verde launch site and to La Paz at the end of the trip
Our Expedition Style Kayaking Trip does ‘not’ include:
- Transportation from the Airport to the Hotel
- Hotel while at Loreto or La Paz
- Transportation costs to San Jose del Cabo or Loreto, however we can assist with planning
Payment: Full payment is due on or before Feb 23, 2025 (one month prior to the start of the trip).
Refunds: No refunds will be issued after February 24, 2025.
